CruisePilot Dashboard Guide

This guide explains exactly how to use the dashboard: where each feature lives, what each page does, and step-by-step flows for cruises, invitations, moderation, users, and exports.

1. First Login & Access

When you sign in, CruisePilot validates tenant access before opening the dashboard.

  1. Go to Sign in and enter your credentials.
  2. If your account is not linked to a valid tenant dashboard role, access is blocked with a clear message.
  3. If your account is valid, you are redirected to Dashboard.
Commercial tenants can manage cruises. NGO/institutional tenants focus mainly on monitoring and reporting scope.
2. Dashboard Overview

Dashboard is the operational homepage with summary metrics and quick access to core modules.

Sidebar

Navigate to Cruises, Reports, Users, Exports, Eco Guides, Eco Alerts, and Settings.

  1. In cruise management, go to Invite Trip Crew.
  2. Type email (or pick suggestion from datalist).
  3. Select trip role: skipper, crew, or guest.
  4. Submit the form:
  • If user belongs to tenant, member is added to cruise flow.
  • If user is outside tenant, invitation email is sent.
4. Environmental Reports

Reports page is used for moderation and environmental status tracking.

  1. Open Reports from sidebar.
  2. Use filters (type, moderation status, observation status, ordering).
  3. Review report row details (location, trip, timestamps).
  4. If you have moderation role, update statuses and add review notes.
  5. Click Save per row.
Visibility scope depends on tenant type: commercial is tenant-scoped, NGO/institutional can have global scope.

Tenant owner/admin can manage users and invite new tenant members.

I clicked PDF export and got print dialog instead of direct file

Current PDF export is browser print-friendly HTML. Use destination: Save as PDF in your browser print dialog.
